Experience My India helps travellers identify the correct Indian visa category and prepare a complete, accurate application. The visa itself is issued only by the Government of India, exclusively through its official portal at indianvisaonline.gov.in — we do not issue visas, and we do not charge a fee on top of the government's own fee for the visa itself.
What we do, and what only the government does
We help you work out which Indian visa category fits your nationality, purpose and length of stay, and check your application for the kind of small errors that cause delays or rejections. We do not issue visas — no travel company can. Every Indian visa is issued solely by the Government of India, through its own official portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in. If you are ever asked to pay a 'visa fee' to any other website, it is not the government's site.

Submission and payment happen only on indianvisaonline.gov.in. We do not take a visa fee on your behalf, and we do not add a markup to the government's fee.
You track your own application status
Status checks are free on the official portal, using your Application ID and passport number. We tell you this because paid 'status check' services are reselling something free.
The one rule that matters
Apply only at indianvisaonline.gov.in. Lookalike sites file the same application and charge two to five times the government fee for doing so. If a site is not indianvisaonline.gov.in, do not pay it — and if in doubt, ask us to check the link before you do.
What we do not do
- We do not issue visas, guarantee approval, or influence the government's decision in any way.
- We do not charge our own fee on top of the government's visa fee.
- We do not hold or process your payment for the visa itself — that goes directly to the government portal.
Frequently asked questions
Can Experience My India get my visa approved faster?
No. Processing times and outcomes are entirely the Government of India's decision. We can help make sure your application has no avoidable errors, which is the main thing within anyone's control.
Do you charge a fee for visa assistance?
We do not add our own fee on top of the government's visa fee. If visa assistance is part of a package you've booked with us, that is reflected in the package price, not billed separately for the visa itself.
What is the only official website for an Indian e-Visa?
indianvisaonline.gov.in. Every other paid 'visa' site is a third party charging more than the government fee.
Is the government visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?
No — the government fee is non-refundable even on rejection, and there is no appeal process; you correct the errors and reapply, paying again. This is a Government of India rule, not ours.
Do OCI cardholders need a visa?
OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders travel visa-free on their OCI card, but current e-Arrival Card and other entry requirements should be checked on the official portal, as rules can change. (confirmed on enquiry)
