Early departure
We collect you before dawn (or book you onto an early fast train) to reach Agra in time for good light at the Taj Mahal and to beat the crowds.

Best season and starting point
A full day, typically 12 to 14 hours door to door by road, or shorter by train. Best October to March; April to June is intensely hot for a full day outdoors, and July to September brings monsoon rain that can slow the road journey.
Is a day trip enough time for the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort?
Yes, for both, with an early start. Adding Fatehpur Sikri as well makes for a very long day and is only advisable with an especially early departure.
Is the train faster than driving?
Yes — the Gatimaan Express covers the route in around 100 minutes each way, compared with three to four hours by road, leaving more time at the sights.
Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
It is closed on Fridays; we schedule around this when planning your day.
Should I do an overnight instead?
If your schedule allows it, yes — it removes the time pressure and lets you see the Taj Mahal at both sunrise and sunset.
