Rather than a hotel, you spend a night (or a few) inside a family's own home, sharing a home-cooked meal and everyday conversation, often getting a genuine look at rural or small-town life — a working farm, a tea estate, a craft trade — that no hotel stay offers. It is one of the experiences our own founder's team singles out as underrated: a night in a family homestay over one more hotel.

Typically one or two nights within a longer itinerary. Available year-round, though some rural homestays are seasonal around harvest or monsoon access — we confirm availability for your specific dates and region.
Is a homestay safe and comfortable for international visitors?
Yes — we only work with host families we have vetted and have an ongoing relationship with, so standards of hygiene and hospitality are consistent.
Will there be a language barrier?
Sometimes, but your guide bridges this, and many host families are used to welcoming international guests.

How many nights should I plan?
One or two nights is typical; it works best as a highlight within a longer trip rather than the whole stay.
